Key improvements include a 10% expansion in the field of view, providing users with an even broader perspective. The new design boasts an upgraded protection rating against dust and moisture, now certified as a robust IP67 compared to the previous IP54. This makes the Starlink terminal submersible in water up to 1 meter deep for half an hour.
SpaceX’s installation guidance emphasizes the manual positioning of the terminal using a stand, with users advised to leverage smartphone data for determining the optimal satellite direction. The device caters to residential users, offering seamless internet applications such as streaming, video calling, and online gaming.
